Head Coach- Justin Castrillo

 

Coach Castrillo is in his 4th season as a coach at Oakmont (3rd as head coach).  His coaching tenure started at his alma mater, Southridge High School in Beaverton, Oregon in 2002.  He has been coaching wrestling in California since 2009.  Before coaching, Justin wrestled through high school and for Dickinson State University.  He competed for the USA in the 2000 Asian Games in Yatkusk, Russia.  As an athlete, he has also been competing in MMA since 2007.  His willingness to see the sport of wrestling grow is apparent even in the off season.  Justin spends his time coaching high school wrestlers from all over the San Joaquin Section from April to October.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Asst. Coach- Ken Krebs

 

Coach Krebs is in his second season as a coach for the Vikings.  This will be Ken's fourth year involved in the OHS program.  His son Tommy has been a varsity team member since joining the program in 2010.  Ken's enthusiam and coaching ability are huge assets to the Oakmont wrestling program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Asst. Coach- Yianni Athens

 

Coach Athens enters his first season as a coach for OHS.  He previously coached at Eich middle school which is the feeder program to Oakmont.  Before coaching, Yianni wrestled for Sierra College in Rocklin and was a former Viking himself.  As an Oakmont wrestler Yianni was an SJS Masters qualifier and a 4th place state finisher in Greco.  Coach Athens focus will be to develop the lower weight classes on our roster.
